With immediate effect, the NUSHS Student Council will no longer be handling late-coming affairs. In accordance with the school rules, all latecomers should report to the General Office and initial in the late-coming booklet. Students should also inform their mentor group representatives that they are in school.
The NUSHS Student Council thanks all students for their cooperation in the course of enacting their duties.
The Blazer Loaning System
The NUS High School Student Council oversees and maintains all blazer loans for NUS High School. Students wishing to loan a blazer should fill out the form below at least three days in advance. The NUS High School Blazer is worn by students when representing the school at formal events such as award ceremonies or ushering duties. The stipulated attire for blazer wear is as follows:
For Men:

School Pants
Black Socks

For Ladies:

Blazer Loaning Referendum
Listed below are the rules and regulations governing the blazer loaning system:
1. This system affects all persons borrowing blazers from the student council, including all staff, students and student leaders, from 25 June 2007.
2. Only authorized persons are allowed to loan out blazers and other persons loaning out the blazers are deemed to have breeched the rules and regulations, and are to be referred to the teachers-in-charge of the NUS High School Student Council. Authorized persons include:
A. Teachers-in-charge of the NUS High School Student Council;
B. President of the NUS High School Student Council;
C. Vice-president of the NUS High School Student Council;
D. Head of Committee (Logistics) of the NUS High School Student Council;
E. Head of Committee (Human Resource and Internal Affairs) of the NUS High School Student Council;
3. Blazer loaning requests must be sent to nushloaning@gmail.com and made known to any of the authorized persons at least 3 days before the actual loaning.
4. Failure to inform authorized person(s) 3 days before the actual loaning would encompass a fine of S$20. If the loaner has failed to do so because the teacher-in-charge had informed him / her of the need of a blazer less than 3 days before the function, the teacher-in-charge must seek to clarify this matter with the teacher-in-charge of the NUS High Student Council before the blazer is loaned out.
5. The loaner would be informed of the date and time when the blazer can be loaned out via means such as a confirmation email.
6. During the actual loaning of the blazer, both the authorized person(s) and the person loaning the blazer must confirm and record the following:
A. Blazer code;
B. Due Date;
C. Name of the borrower;
D. Signature of the borrower;
E. Signature of the person(s) authorizing the loan.
7. Blazer code is to be recorded in the following order:
A. Type of blazer (Male or Female). Male is denoted with M, while female is denoted with F.
B. Blazer size. This is usually found near the collar of the blazer, at the top.
C. Blazer number. This is written on a white tag, inside the left side of the blazer.
8. Upon borrowing the blazer, the loaner’s school smart card or the EZ-Link card must be surrendered to the authorized person(s) and kept in the NUS High School Student Council Room.
9. A single person can borrow more than one blazer. However, the person must return all of the blazers at the same time.
10. During the returning of the blazer, both the authorized person(s) and the person returning the blazer must:
A. Ensure that the blazer code(s) of the blazer(s) borrowed and returned is the same.
B. Ensure that there is nothing left in the blazer pockets.
C. Ensure that blazer is returned in its original condition.
D. Ensure that the signature of the borrower and person(s) authorizing the loan is the printed in their respective columns.
E. Ensure that the Date of Return is recorded.
F. Ensure that all fines are paid up front upon the returning of blazer, if applicable.
G. Ensure that the loaner collects his school smart card or EZ-Link card.
11. Blazers returned must be in a condition equal to or better than before it was returned. Should the blazer be soiled, the loaner is expected to dry clean it at his own expense. If an extension is needed due to the dry-cleaning process, it may be obtained from the authorized person(s) and recorded down as a second loan. If not done so properly, a fine of S$0.50 is applicable per day for each blazer. It will be considered a second loan.
12. The blazer is to be checked that it comes with a coat hanger and a coat cover. The blazer will not be accepted until every item has been returned with it or deemed as lost. It is the responsibility of the person who borrowed it to ensure that all items are in proper condition before borrowing the blazer. Any missing or, broken or torn coat hanger and coat cover will result in a fine of $2 per person per item.
13. Blazers are to be returned on the day specified, or before that. Failure to do so would encompass of a fine of S$0.50 per day for each blazer. Should the blazer not be returned for more than a month after the due date, the blazer will be considered lost, and there will be a $100 fine regardless of financial background.
